LAKE-GEAUGA RECOVERY CENTERS CELEBRATES 1/2 WAY TO CAPITAL CAMPAIGN GOAL FOR NEW 16-BED RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT FACILITY

Mentor, OH. February 10, 2022: One year ago today, on the date of our founding, Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers launched one of the most ambitious philanthropic efforts in our history, celebrating our 50th Anniversary with a $2 million capital campaign to construct a new, state of the art, 16-bed men’s residential facility in Painesville. One year later, we are proud to announce we are just over half way to reaching our goal!

This new men’s residential facility addresses the community demand, eliminates the wait time for this level of care and increases the organization’s capacity to provide high quality and much needed residential treatment services for men.

“Now, celebrating our 51st year, Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers has helped thousands of Lake and Geauga County residents conquer their addiction and turn their lives around. We are very grateful for the support we’ve received from the State of Ohio, Lake County ADAMHS Board, Geauga County Board of Mental Health and Recovery Services and to all of those who have contributed to our 50th Anniversary Capital Campaign. This welcoming new home for men, who are trying to change their lives, provides the supportive, safe environment where the hard and hopeful work towards recovery can begin. With generous support from the community, we’ve reached the half way point of our goal but we still have a long way to go so that many more men can experience the joy of recovery,” said Melanie Blasko, President and CEO of Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers.

Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers’ mission is “to promote lifelong recovery from addiction through education, prevention, and treatment regardless of ability to pay.” Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers has continued to offer the most effective alcohol and drug residential treatment in Lake and Geauga counties ensuring no one is turned away even during a worldwide pandemic.

If you’re interested in supporting the campaign or learning more about naming opportunities or giving options, please contact John Keller, Chief Development Officer at 440-205-2671, jkeller@lgrc.us or visit us online at www.lgrc.us.

Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers is a private, nonprofit agency providing continuous service to the community since 1971. Services at Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers are made possible due to the generous support of the Lake County ADAMHS Board, the Geauga Board of MHRS, and United Way of Lake & Geauga Counties.
