Financial Wellness Program

Financial Wellness

The Financial Wellness Program was designed to help individuals gain an understanding of their finances by exploring our relationship with money. The program focuses on building financial literacy skills, including understanding income and expenses, as well as creating and maintaining a spending and savings plan. Our goal is to offer a positive learning experience filled with research-based data which provides education, encourages discussion, and helps participants gain personal insight. This is neither treatment nor a self-help group.

Over four sessions, you will learn to:

  • Create a personalized spending plan that fits your circumstances
  • Develop realistic savings goals and strategies
  • Build confidence in making informed financial decisions
  • Understand how we view our relationship with money
  • Explore how income and expenses impact our life
  • Recognize spending habits, needs, wants, and financial priorities

For individuals in recovery from substance use disorders or problem gambling, developing healthy financial habits is an important part of building stability and supporting long-term growth.

The Financial Literacy Program meets on Thursdays, 5:30 PM-7:00 PM in the Mentor Office.

The participant fee is $50 for the 4 week program.

This program provides evidence-based financial education and is not intended to provide individualized financial recommendations or advisement.
