Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers Raises Awareness for National Recovery Month

Mentor, OH, September 1, 2020: Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers, Inc., an area leader in the treatment of substance use disorders, is once again proud to participate in National Recovery Month which is a national observance held every September to promote and support new evidence-based treatment and recovery practices, the emergence of a strong and proud recovery community, and the dedication of service providers and community members across the nation who make recovery in all its forms possible. The 2020 Recovery Month theme is “Join the Voices for Recovery: Celebrating Connections.”

This month, Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers celebrates the 31st anniversary of Recovery Month by celebrating the connections and gains made by those in recovery as well as the dedication of service providers and community members who make recovery possible particularly during a pandemic – together we are stronger.

“There are millions of Americans whose lives have been transformed through recovery. Recovery Month celebrates the gains made by those in recovery and reminds people in recovery and those who support them that we all have victories to celebrate. Here at Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers, as we celebrate, we continue to educate others about substance use disorders, the effectiveness of treatment and recovery services, and that recovery is possible,” said Melanie Blasko, President and CEO of Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers.
