LAKE-GEAUGA RECOVERY CENTERS CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER, LARRY KAPPLER, ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT; KERRI LUCKNER NAMED AS SUCCESSOR

Mentor, OH, September 18, 2020: Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers, Inc., an area leader in the treatment of substance use disorders, announced the retirement of Larry Kappler, MPA, LICDC-CS, chief operating officer (COO), and the appointment of Kerri Luckner, LPCC-S, as the organization’s new COO starting October 1.

“Throughout his tenure, Larry was instrumental in achieving unprecedented growth and client care while improving operational efficiency and promoting innovation,” said Melanie Blasko, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers. “With a career that spans 4 decades in healthcare, Larry’s leadership contributed significantly to Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers’ success. We thank him for his loyal service to the organization and wish him the very best as he retires.”

Kappler added, “As Kerri transitions from Outpatient Program Manager to COO, I am confident the Centers’ forward momentum will continue as she works with our skilled counselors and staff to build upon a strong foundation of success.”

Luckner offers over 16 years of healthcare experience, most recently serving as Outpatient Program Manager in the Centers’ Chardon and Painesville offices. Additionally, Luckner served in various healthcare roles for Portage County Department of Job and Family Services and Recovery Resources. She earned a bachelor’s degree from The College of Wooster and a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Kent State University.
