5th Annual Ride for Recovery + Walk

Mentor, OH August 16, 2021: Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers is proud to announce its 5th Annual Ride for Recovery, this year including a Fun Walk, on Sunday, September 12, 2021 from its Chardon Office located at 209 Center Street, Chardon, Ohio.

2021 marks the 50th Anniversary of Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers. Over those 50 years, Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers has saved countless lives. Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers’ mission is “To promote lifelong recovery from addiction through education, prevention, and treatment regardless of ability to pay.”

Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers has continued to offer the most effective alcohol and drug residential treatment in Lake and Geauga Counties ensuring no one is turned away even during a worldwide pandemic.

To celebrate 50 years of service to Lake and Geauga county residents and coinciding with National Recovery Month this year’s annual Ride for Recovery will also include a two-mile fun walk along the Maple Highlands Trail.

Ride for Recovery + Walk is a community driven fundraising initiative to support the critical treatment and prevention programs & services provided at Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers. Riders choose from three route options ranging from 67, 32 or 18 miles. The Fun Walk will be two-miles. Each Rider and Walker commits to raise a pre-determined amount of money with the dollars raised going directly to support the essential programs and services at Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers.

This year will start and end at the Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers Chardon Office located at 209 Center Street in Chardon. Registration opens at 7AM. Cost is $30 per person.

Children must be 12-years of age or older to ride and children under 18 must have the signed consent of a parent or guardian to participate. All riders must wear a helmet.
