The Residential Program Manager oversees the coordination and delivery of services in residential treatment and recovery facilities, ensuring compliance with policies and maintaining adequate staffing.  This position supervises counseling staff, provides direct services as needed, and fosters strong relationships with stakeholders and the community.  Additionally, the manager ensures safety and ethical standards are upheld while facilitating effective team collaboration and maintaining clinical documentation.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manages, coordinates, and delivers specialized residential treatment programs, ensuring all program components run efficiently.
  • Provides clinical and administrative supervision to residential counselors, ensuring adequate staffing levels in residential treatment and recovery facilities, adherence to work schedules and reporting requirements.
  • Oversees the delivery of residential services, ensuring adherence to the program schedule at all times.
  • Identifies and reports health, safety, maintenance, and janitorial issues in accordance with agency policy.
  • Supervises counseling staff, ensuring they deliver personalized recovery plans through assessments, treatment planning, case management, and individual counseling.
  • Ensures the maintenance of accurate, timely, and compliant clinical records for all residential services.
  • Conducts consistent, documented supervision of residential staff to ensure performance meets agency standards.
  • Implements and ensures compliance with agency policies and procedures.
  • Actively participates in management meetings, peer review committees, and in-service trainings.
  • Conducts utilization review meetings and regular staff meetings to ensure program efficacy and client progress.
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with agency stakeholders and community partners.
  • Collaborates effectively with peers, subordinates, and clinical staff in a professional, team-oriented manner.
  • Ensures timely, respectful verbal and written communication across all levels of staff and stakeholders.
  • Interviews, trains, supervises, evaluates, and disciplines subordinate staff with the approval of the President & CEO.
  • Provides direct client services, including assessments, treatment planning, case management, and counseling (individual, family, group) as needed.
  • Completes client charting and required documentation in a timely, professional, and accurate manner.
  • Ensures that residential services comply with OMHAS and CARF standards for quality care.
  • Upholds professional ethics and client confidentiality, including knowledge of client rights and grievance procedures.
  • Models appropriate and professional behavior for both clients and staff.
  • Maintains required certification status.
  • Ensures monthly safety inspections and daily room inspections are performed.
  • Acts as the designated Safety Officer for residential and recovery facilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and documented by the supervisor to support program goals.

Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field, with a focus on Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and co-occurring Mental Health treatment preferred. Appropriate licensure in State of Ohio as LISW-S, LPCC-S, LICDC-CS. Three years supervisory experience.

Background Check and Alcohol and Drug Screen required.

Salary range: $57,767.00 – $75,933.00
