LAKE-GEAUGA RECOVERY CENTERS OFFERS FREE CLERK SERVER TRAINING

Mentor, OH.  March 7, 2017:  Melanie J. Blasko, President and CEO of Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers, Inc. announced that Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers and the Chardon Community Action Team are hosting a free Clerk & Server Training for area businesses that serve or sell alcohol. The workshop is being held on Wednesday March 22, 2017 from 1:00 p.m.- 3:00 p.m. at the Geauga County Office  Bldg., #8 Conference Room, 470 Center St., Chardon, OH.  All materials and certificates of completion will be provided.

Attendees will learn about current liquor permit laws especially to minors, how to spot and handle underage drinking attempts and sales to intoxicated individuals, how to check ID’s and what to do with fake ones. Local law enforcement will offer their insights as well. Compliance checks are currently being conducted in Geauga County however, business owners in Lake County are welcome too.

Presenters for the workshop will include the Ohio Investigative Unit, Geauga County Sherriff’s Dept., Chardon Police Department, Burton Police Dept., Chesterland Police Dept., Chardon Community Action Team and Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers.
