FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LAKE-GEAUGA RECOVERY CENTERS
REMAINS OPEN AS AN ESSENTIAL HEALTHCARE SERVICE FOR ADDICTION TREATMENT

Mentor, OH. March 23, 2020: Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers remains open and anyone struggling with addiction or wants to refer someone struggling with addiction can call us for an immediate appointment.  We know, in these uncertain and stressful times, that those with addiction issues continue to need care. As an “essential service” as defined by the State of Ohio, we are open and taking proactive steps to keep our clients and staff safe while serving the needs of our community by continuing to clean and sanitize our facilities and encourage staff, clients, and guests to follow appropriate personal CDC health practices to minimize the community spread of any illness or disease, including COVID-19.

In an effort to help our community by slowing down the spread of the virus, Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers has temporarily suspended face-to-face individual and group counseling at all of our outpatient offices.  These services are now provided via video therapy or phone.

While we are still accepting new clients, and referrals to outpatient or residential treatment services, walk-in intakes are also temporarily suspended. All intakes can be completed by phone or video from 8am – 5pm, Monday – Friday by calling 440-255-0678 to connect with one of our Intake Counselors. All appointments with the nurse practitioner for Medication Assisted Treatment will continue as scheduled at our Mentor Outpatient office, as well as those for new clients. With the exception of appointments with the nurse practitioner, no on-site appointments will be conducted at this time.

We appreciate your understanding during this unprecedented time. The health and safety of our clients and staff remains our number one priority.

Meanwhile, we are available to respond to any questions, concerns or feedback you may have and can be reached at 440-255-0678 or info@lgrc.us.

As we continue to reassess the situation, we’ll inform you of updates as soon as possible.

Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers is a private, nonprofit agency providing continuous service to the community since 1971. Services at Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers are made possible due to the generous support of the Lake County ADAMHS Board, the Geauga Board of MHRS, and United Way of Lake & Geauga Counties.
