Job Summary
The First Responder Liaison participates in efforts of assisting, implementing and sustaining programming related to behavioral health and first responders within Lake County. This liaison position represents both law enforcement, fire departments and other community partnerships to the citizens. Manages implementation and delivery of services to advance the organization’s strategic goals. This provider will engage as a member of a collaborative team, both within the organization and with community partners. With a Trauma Informed approach, this position will be a representative for the organization and how we offer integrated services for recovery and mental health.
Duties & Responsibilities
Direct Service Delivery: Provide trauma informed presentations and programming across Lake County First Responders. This includes coordinating training and implementation regarding Crisis Intervention Teams and Peer Support programming for First Responders. Deliver positive results as evidenced by utilization of outcome measures. Oversee the implementation of a First Responder Wellness program within Lake County.
Program Development: Research and develop evidence based and research informed program expansions and updates. Obtain, interpret, and respond to data to inform continued programmatic development
Engagement with Community Partners: Provide consultation and collaboration with community partners. Ensure effective collaboration to ensure successful partnerships on new initiatives. Promote Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers services and engage in outreach activities.
Documentation: Provide accurate, concise, and concurrent documentation according to program procedures and policies.
Professional Development: Seek and secure professional development consistent with credentials for personal and organizational growth
Assorted Programmatic Duties and Intra-Organizational Support: Capitalize on opportunities to support programmatic needs across the agency. Participate in team meetings, work groups, task forces, or other general efforts that add value to the success of the organization and programming. Provide crisis intervention/support as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a human services field required
Two plus years’ experience working as a first responder (law enforcement, firefighter, paramedic)
Crisis intervention team training
Demonstrate an understanding of behavioral health and Trauma Informed care principles.
Proficiency in computer literacy required.
Excellent verbal and written communication, with strong organizational skills.
Minimum 2 years in a personal recovery program, if applicable.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and off-site as required.
Background Check and Alcohol and Drug Screen required.
Pay: $25.00 per hour
