Full-Time and Part-Time Outpatient Counselor, Outpatient Counselor Bilingual (Spanish) and Outpatient Counselor Jail Treatment Program
The Outpatient Counselor is responsible for the intake and treatment services for substance use disorder adults & their families. Must be knowledgeable about the disease of substance use disorder, family illness and model and treatment modalities as well as experience in AOD counseling including assessment, individual, family, and group counseling. Coordinates, provides and develops intake and admission procedures that meet the needs of clients in all programs. Works with each client to develop their own recovery through assessment of individual problem areas, treatment planning, case management, and appropriate counseling sessions (individual, family, or group). Completes client charting and other required documentation. Achieves and maintains established productivity expectations. Maintains professional standards of ethics, thorough knowledge and implementation of applicable laws and governmental regulations relating to client confidentiality, client rights and grievance policies and procedures. Must have thorough knowledge and implementation of office policies and procedure; insures client compliance with same, including billing. Participates in Peer Review, Utilization Review, agency staff meetings and In-Service training as scheduled. Must establish good rapport and demonstrate a positive public relations image in working with all stakeholders including the public, clients, families, and staff.
Minimum Bachelor Degree in a human services field required. Masters in counseling or social work preferred. Appropriate licensure including but not limited to CDCA, LPC, LPCC, LSW, LISW or LICDC. Minimum 2 years’ experience in AOD counseling including assessment, individual, family, and group counseling.
Pay: $37,440.00 – $62,300.00 per year depending on license and position
Full-Time Forensic Assessment Specialist
The Forensic Assessment Specialist is responsible for conducting biopsychosocial assessments for individuals referred by the Lake County Common Pleas Courts prior to sentencing. Conducts off site assessments and diagnosis services at Lake County Common Pleas Court, works in collaboration with court Forensic Psychologist, as well as court personnel, probation, collaterals and others in order to provide full comprehensive mental health and drug and alcohol assessments and diagnosis. Utilizes the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) multidimensional assessment to gather sufficient information related to an individual’s emotional, behavioral, cognitive, social, and physical condition. Identifies the client’s strengths and needs, and recommends an appropriate level of care based on ASAM’s Clinical Protocols for Level of Care. Provides recommendations for the courts an facilitates the referral, intake, assessment and admission phase to the various Lake County treatment providers. Provides consultation to the courts upon request. Completes client charting and other required documentation in a timely, professional, accurate manner, and in accordance with agency policies and procedures. Maintains professional standards of ethics, thorough knowledge and implementation of applicable laws and governmental regulations relating to client confidentiality, client rights and grievance policies and procedures. Possesses thorough knowledge and adherence to office policies and procedures as well as consults with supervisor as needed for case review, differential diagnosis, etc. Must be able to establish good rapport and demonstrate a positive public relations image in working with all stakeholders including the public, clients, families, and staff. Should relate and work well with other staff and community stakeholders in a professional/team approach.
Minimum Bachelor Degree in a human services field required. Masters preferred. Appropriate licensure required: LPC, LPCC, LSW, LISW. Minimum 3 years’ experience in Behavioral Health required, including assessment and referral.
Salary: $60,000 annually
