Full-Time Treatment Engagement Specialist / Peer Recovery Supporter

The Treatment Engagement Specialist utilizes expertise associated with addiction and recovery experience to become a resource to individuals and families.  They serve as a role model, mentor, advocate and motivator to re-engage individuals in treatment services, and to provide Peer Recovery Support services in residential services as well as provides re-engagement support for individuals who have stopped complying with outpatient or residential treatment services.  Assists individuals in identifying barriers (internal and external) to full participation in recommended treatment services. Identifies, develops and implements strategies to overcome these barriers and successfully re-engages individuals in treatment services.  They facilitate the individual’s reintroduction to services and assists individuals to identify their personal interests, goals, strengths and weaknesses regarding recovery.  They also assist individuals in developing their own plan for advancing their recovery. Collects and maintains tracking data, submitting reports to Risk Quality Coordinator or COO monthly, including numbers served, numbers re-engaged and other related outcomes.  They actively identify and support linkages to community resources (communities of recovery, educational, vocational, social, cultural, spiritual resources, mutual self-help groups, professional services, etc.) that support the achievement of the individual’s goals and interests.  Maintains professional standards of ethics and adheres to LGRC Code of Ethics, including client confidentiality, client’s rights and client’s grievances procedure.  Serves on Alumni Association Committee and participates in events. Maintains required professional licensure/certification.  Completes clients charting and other required documentation in a timely, professional manner.  May transport residents as necessary and assigned by supervisor.  Participates in agency and treatment team meetings as needed.  Maintains contact by phone and/or email with recovering person after treatment completion to ensure their ongoing success and to provide support in partnership with others in the agency or community if needed. They have an understanding of and respect for each individual’s unique path to recovery and are knowledgeable about Substance Use Disorders, principles of Motivational Interviewing and community resources.

High School diploma/G.E.D, Certified Peer Recovery Supporter, Valid driver license Required

Background Check and Alcohol and Drug Screen required.

Pay: $33,280.00 – $43,700.00 per year
