Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers offers Community Education Sessions, a program open to Lake County residents who are seeking education and support regarding their own, or a loved ones use of drugs and/or alcohol. Participants will not be required to complete an intake or assessment and may attend as often as they like. The sessions are held Mondays from 1:00PM – 2:30PM and Wednesdays from 6:30PM – 8:00PM.

These group sessions are for individuals to begin to explore their feelings of ambivalence towards change, evaluating the conflicts between their substance use and personal values, and weighing the pros and cons of quitting substance use or modifying their behavior. A specific curriculum along with a series of educational interventions will be provided to assist individuals in developing readiness for change. Educational topics will also include a focus on family members and available options and community resources.
