Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers to Open New Men’s Recovery House in Painesville

Mentor, OH. October 17, 2016: Melanie J. Blasko, President and CEO of Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers, Inc. announces the opening of Lake County’s newest men’s recovery house, Bill Horvath House. The house in Painesville will offer accommodations up to 5 men who wish to live in a safe, sober, drug and alcohol free living environment.

“We will now have men’s recovery houses in Painesville and Chardon to better serve the residents of Lake and Geauga Counties,” said Blasko. “This new recovery house will greatly improve accessibility for men who have successfully completed primary treatment, have been clean and sober a minimum of 30 days and have an established recovery path. Further we are thankful to the Lake County ADAMHS Board for a capital grant in support of this project.”

The house is named after Bill Horvath who was one of the founding board members of Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers beginning in 1971 until his passing in June 2016. Horvath was an active member of the Painesville community and served on many boards and committees.

Recovery housing provides a safe, healthy, drug and alcohol free living environment that helps build a strong foundation in recovery. With a focus on peer support, residents share a commitment to sobriety, offering each other support, stability and encouragement. The house will be monitored by a live-in house manager who provides accountability and support in accessing community services, employment and the greater recovering community.

At every level from prevention to residential recovery services, Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers offers a message of hope to individuals, families, and the entire community. For more information on all programs and services please call 440-255-0678 or visit our website at www.lgrc.us.
