Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers, Inc., a private non-profit agency, provides comprehensive substance abuse treatment and prevention services to individuals, families and community, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer.  The CFO will direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the agency and provide leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.  As part of the executive team, the CFO will be called on to provide insight and recommendations to the CEO concerning the financial wellbeing of the agency. The CFO must ensure that Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers, Inc. will prepare all budgets and financial statements for the CEO and board; monitor and recommend employee benefit plans and insurance policies; monitor all contracts; approve expenditures; and oversee the staff payroll, salary budgets and pay increases. The CFO must ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting and develop a strong comprehension of the mission of the agency in order to link daily activities of the finance department to the mission.

A successful candidate for this position should have: a Bachelors Degree, a current CPA license preferred and at least 3 years experience in a high level fiscal position. Should have knowledge of financial and computer systems and have experience in non-profit financing and accounting. Must also have excellent interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills, a strong work ethic with a drive to succeed, strong attention to detail, effective organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
