FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LAKE-GEAUGA RECOVERY CENTERS NOW OPERATES THREE RECOVERY HOUSES

Mentor, OH.  February 21, 2017:  Melanie J. Blasko, President and CEO of Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers, Inc. announced that Lake-Geauga Recovery Center’s is now operating three Recovery Houses across Lake and Geauga Counties. The houses located in Mentor, Painesville and Chardon provide a safe, healthy, drug-and-alcohol-free living environment that helps build a strong foundation in recovery for people who have completed a primary treatment program.  Services at Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers are made possible due to the generous support of the Lake County ADAMHS Board, the Geauga Board of Mental Health and Recovery Services, and United Way of Lake & Geauga Counties.

“We are very excited to have the opportunity to contribute to a full continuum of care within Lake & Geauga Counties system of behavioral health care. A Level II Recovery House has a focus on peer support, where residents share a commitment to sobriety, offering each other support, stability and encouragement.” Blasko said. “Each home can accommodate 5 residents who not only share a home, but also share a common bond; a commitment to sobriety and an abstinent lifestyle. Individuals will be employed in the community and will be able to pay the established rent which is very affordable, giving the residents a better opportunity for success as they are launched back into life following treatment. Recovery houses are monitored by live-in house managers who provide accountability and support in accessing community services, employment, and the greater recovering community. A resident’s stay is not limited to a specific length of time and there is no maximum length of stay. Residency is designed to be transitional and to afford the residents sufficient time and resources with which to establish solid independent, healthy living arrangements.”

Interested individuals who have successfully completed treatment, have been clean and sober for a minimum of 30 days, and are willing to follow a 12-Step program or have an established recovery path should contact Christine Brodzinski, at 440.205.2688 to learn more.

Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers is a private, nonprofit agency providing continuous service to the community since 1971.
